Here’s a fun video of someone writing hiragana and katakana vowels. It’s really illustrative to see them actually written, much more than the little diagrams with arrows showing you to draw this line first, then this line second. Those things always remind me of those books that show you how to draw a face, where they start off with an oval, then they show some lines dividing the face, and next it shows the Mona Lisa.
